What is a cake pop?
A cake pop in essence and in it's simplest form is a ball of cake fixed on a stick. However, our cake pops start with our scratch-made cakes, mixed with our scratch-made frostings, fixed on a stick, covered in milk, dark or white chocolate and toppings or decor where applicable. The combination of cake and frosting gives our cake pops a very moist and delicious texture, reminiscent of a mix between regular baked cake and cookie dough. Cake pops can be made either with flat bottoms so that they can sit on their own or can be made to sit up-right, like a lollipop, however since they do not stand on their own, a stand should be purchased or rented (please inquire about our rentals). Cake pops make a great addition to dessrt tables, and are great for childrens' parties because they require little-to-no clean up and are virtually mess-free. Our pops can also be made into various shapes, custom colors/themes and more.
May I order more than one flavor per dozen?
There is a limit of one flavor per 1-2 dozen cupcakes and cake pops, 2 flavors per 3-4 dozen cupcakes or cake pops, 3 flavors per 5-6 cupcakes or cake pops, etc.
Where are you located?
We are a home-based business located in Detroit, Michigan and we service the entire metropolitan-Detroit area. Since we currenty do not have a store-front, pick-up or delivery can be discussed at the time the inquiry or order is placed.
can certain decor alter the flavor of my order?
yes, certain colors may cause frostings and chocolates to become slightly bitter. Red, bright-hot pink, dark blues, purples, browns, as well as blacks may alter the taste. Please direct any questions or concerns to us directly.
Approximately how many items should I order per person for an event?
We recommend 3-4 items per person if you do not also have a cake, and 2-3 items per person if you do have a cake.
Do you make your cake pops only with flat bottoms or do you also have lollipop style cake pops available?
If you do not specify when ordering that you woud like your cake pops to be lollipop-style, they will be made with flat bottoms. Some styles (i.e., graduation cake pops) must be made in lollipop-style. If you prefer your cake pops to be lollipop-style, please be sure to specify when ordering.
We do reccomend flat-bottomed cake pops unless you have a stand or would lie to rent one for lollipop-style pops.
Can I order half a dozen cupcakes, cake pops, etc?
We currently only accept orders of at least one dozen for cake pops, cupcakes, cheesecake cups (excluing cheesecakes, cakes and other singular items).
The color scheme of my event is very specific, can you match your desserts to the theme of my event?
Yes, we can! Any of our naturally light-colored frostings such as vanilla, lemon or cream cheese can be colored. Darker frostings such as cinnamon cream cheese, chocolate or peanut butter are not available in as many colors as other frostings. Fondant can also be custom-colored. In addition to frosting and fondant, we also specialize in coloring white chocolate any color you can think of! You can even provide us with a swatch of fabric so that we can get the color as close as possible. Please be sure to contact us to discuss the details of your event.
